Stained Glass Windows of Mayo by Harry Clarke and the Clarke StudiosThis beautifully illustrated book was published recently by Mayo County Council. The book gives a description of stained glass windows that were created by Harry Clarke and their locations in Mayo and contains photographs of many of the windows. Green Are The Hills Far Away by Kathleen O'Toole O'Connell
Green Are The Hills Far Away is a personal memoir of life in Ballinrobe in the 1920's, the Irish experience of life in England during the Second World War, and life as an RAF wife. The memoir takes the form of a letter from the author to her daughters and was published by the author's daughters as a tribute to their mother's memory. It is described as an "account of a bold, spirited life lived to the full".
The book provides a fascinating glimpse of life in Ballinrobe in the first half of the twentieth century. It is illustrated with photographs of the author's family and the local area.

 Our shop in Cong is now open in the Main Street by the Market Cross (next door to Pat Cohan's pub for fans of "The Quiet Man"). We look forward to meeting our customers old and new and very much welcome browsers.
We are now offering a reserve and collect service. Simply order your book online and opt to pay and collect at the shop when you check out. We will hold the book for you for up to one week.

The books can be found within individual subject categories and a selection of books are showcased in the Rare Book Room. We have also added a new selection of books that are signed or inscribed by the author. These include the signatures of authors local to Galway and Mayo as well as contemporary Irish and international authors, entertainers and sports people.
